Hello Mark Twain Families!
School is here! I hope everyone had a fun summer and is as eager to get back to school as I am. I am excited about the gains we made last year and look forward to another year of strong achievement.
We are pleased that your child will be with us this school year. Our school prides itself on creating a place where “teachers can teach and students can learn.” Expectations are high for all students. We will continue to exert our efforts to make learning exciting, so students will experience the joy of discovering new ideas and building new skills. However, Mark Twain’s reputation and success rest, in large measure, on parental support. For optimal success, follow these three easy steps: 1) Have your child read or be read to 20 minutes each day and complete his/her homework. 2) Have your child attend school on time and ready to learn every day. If your child is going to be absent, it is your responsibility to call the school. 3) Have your child get the 9.5-10 hours of sleep recommended nightly for children.
